It is the biggest K-pop comeback event of the decade.

For fans in Japan, the ARIRANG World Tour lands at Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18, 2026 — BTS's first performance in Japan in approximately seven years. This guide covers everything you need to know: ticket categories and prices, how the fan club lottery works, venue access, what to bring, and how to find tickets if you missed the official sales.

They are the best-selling artist in South Korean history with over 40 million albums sold worldwide, and hold 80+ million Spotify followers — ranking 12th globally among all artists on the platform.

How Tickets Were Sold

BTS Japan concert tickets followed a strict lottery system — not first-come, first-served:

  1. BTS Japan Official Fanclub (FC) Advance — Jan 22-29, 2026. Results announced Feb 6-9. Only members registered before March 8 were eligible.
  2. BTS Global ARMY Membership Advance — Feb 13-17, 2026. Results from Feb 27.
  3. FC & Mobile 2nd Lottery — From March 2, 2026.
  4. General Sale — Not announced as of now. All lottery rounds were oversubscribed.

Each member could apply for up to 2 tickets per show. VIP seats required both the applicant and companion to be fan club members.

If You Missed Official Sales

All lottery rounds sold out with extremely high demand. If you didn't get tickets through official channels, your options include:

  • TIXVOY — A secure ticket marketplace where fans can buy and sell verified tickets with transaction protection. Post a buying request to let sellers come to you.
  • Official resale — Check if HYBE Japan announces any official resale windows closer to the event date.

Warning: Avoid unofficial resale sites. BTS uses electronic tickets with identity verification — counterfeit or transferred tickets will be rejected at the gate.

Entry & Security: What You Must Know

Electronic Tickets (ticket board)

All tickets are distributed through the "ticket board" e-ticket system. Both the ticket holder and companion must:

  1. Register as ticket board members (free)
  2. Upload a photo for identity verification
  3. Download the ticket board app on their smartphones

Paper tickets are not available. You cannot enter without the registered smartphone.

Identity Verification at the Gate

  • VIP Seats: Mandatory identity check for both ticket holder and companion
  • SS / S Seats: Random identity checks
  • Required documents: Fan club membership card + government-issued photo ID
  • The name on the ticket must match the ID exactly — no exceptions

Companion Registration (同行者登録)

If you applied for 2 tickets, you must have registered your companion's information during the application. The companion cannot be changed after the lottery. Both people must enter together.

What to Bring

  • Smartphone with ticket board app (fully charged)
  • Photo ID (passport for foreign fans)
  • Fan club membership card
  • Portable charger (essential — if your phone dies, you cannot enter)
  • ARMY Bomb (official light stick) — connect via Bluetooth for synchronized lighting

What NOT to Bring

  • Professional cameras / recording equipment
  • Large bags (coin lockers available at nearby stations)
  • Unofficial merchandise / banners larger than A4 size

Tokyo Dome Access Guide

Tokyo Dome is located in Bunkyo ward, central Tokyo. It is one of Japan's most accessible concert venues.

By Train (Recommended)

Station Line Exit Walk Time
Suidobashi JR Chuo-Sobu Line West Exit 3-5 min
Suidobashi Toei Mita Line Exit A2 3-5 min
Korakuen Tokyo Metro Marunouchi / Namboku Exit 2 1 min
Kasuga Toei Oedo Line Exit 6 5 min

From major stations:

  • Tokyo Station → JR Chuo Line to Ochanomizu, transfer to Sobu Line → Suidobashi (15 min)
  • Shinjuku Station → JR Sobu Line direct → Suidobashi (15 min)
  • Shibuya Station → Metro Hanzomon Line to Otemachi, transfer to Marunouchi → Korakuen (25 min)
  • Narita Airport → Narita Express to Tokyo, then JR to Suidobashi (90 min)
  • Haneda Airport → Monorail to Hamamatsucho, JR to Suidobashi (50 min)

Tips for Concert Days

  • Arrive early — Expect massive crowds. The area around Suidobashi station becomes extremely congested 1-2 hours before doors.
  • Use Korakuen Station — It connects directly to Tokyo Dome City and is often less crowded than Suidobashi.
  • Coin lockers — Available at JR Suidobashi and Korakuen stations, but they fill up fast. Arrive well in advance or use lockers at Tokyo Station.
  • Food & drink — Tokyo Dome City has restaurants and convenience stores. LaQua shopping complex is adjacent.
  • After the show — Stagger your exit. The post-concert rush at Suidobashi is intense. Walking to Korakuen or Kasuga station spreads out the crowd.

What to Expect at the Concert

The ARIRANG Experience

The ARIRANG World Tour features a 360-degree rotating stage design — a first for BTS. This means there are no "bad seats" in the traditional sense, as the stage rotates to face all sections throughout the show.

Expect a mix of new ARIRANG album tracks alongside career-spanning hits. The tour's opening dates in Korea (before Tokyo) will reveal the setlist, but classic songs like Dynamite, Butter, Spring Day, Blood Sweat & Tears, Fake Love, Boy With Luv, and MIC Drop are likely inclusions.

The production includes large-scale LED walls, pyrotechnics, flying stage elements, and the iconic ARMY Bomb synchronized light show — where tens of thousands of light sticks change colors in unison, controlled by Bluetooth.

Concert Duration

Based on previous BTS tours, expect approximately 2.5 to 3 hours of performance, including an encore.

For International Fans Visiting Japan

Practical Tips

  • Visa: Most countries qualify for 90-day visa-free entry to Japan for tourism
  • SIM/eSIM: Get a data SIM at the airport — you'll need internet for the ticket board app
  • IC Card: Get a Suica or Pasmo card for convenient train travel
  • Hotels near Tokyo Dome: Bunkyo, Iidabashi, Ochanomizu areas are closest. Book early — prices surge around concert dates.
  • Cash: Japan is still cash-heavy. ATMs in convenience stores (7-Eleven, Lawson) accept international cards.

Getting Tickets as a Foreign Fan

If you're an international ARMY, the BTS Global ARMY Membership lottery is your primary official channel. For tickets on the secondary market, TIXVOY supports English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean — making it easy for international fans to navigate the buying process with full transaction protection.
