How TIXVOY works
NHK Hall opened on June 20, 1973, in Jinnan, Shibuya, Tokyo. NHK Foundation’s current facility overview lists 3,601 seats in total: 3,400 fixed seats and 201 movable or auxiliary seats. The official history records a closure for ceiling seismic and other renovation work from March 2021 through June 2022, followed by reopening in July 2022.
The official seating breakdown is 890 fixed seats on the first floor, 1,335 on the second floor and 1,175 on the third floor, plus up to 201 movable or auxiliary seats on the first floor. Event layouts and seat availability can differ, so compare the exact floor, row, seat and restricted-view notes on the performance page rather than treating 3,601 as a promise for every event. NHK Foundation lists Harajuku Station and Meiji-jingumae Station as 10-minute walks, and Shibuya Station and Yoyogi-koen Station as 15-minute walks. The venue has no parking, and current access guidance asks visitors to enter on foot from the Yoyogi Park Keyaki tree-lined avenue side. Confirm the organizer’s event-specific opening time and entrance before travel. TIXVOY’s upcoming list is a marketplace discovery view, not the venue’s complete official calendar.
