Fukuoka PayPay Dome

Fukuoka PayPay Dome is situated in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, specifically in the Seaside Momochi area. It is accessible within a walking distance from Tojinmachi or Nishijin subway stations. Opened in 1993, this multi-purpose domed stadium was Japan's first venue built with a retractable roof and was originally named Fukuoka Dome. Primarily serving as the home stadium for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks baseball team, it boasts a capacity of approximately 42,000 people. Its vast, covered space makes it a frequent choice for large-scale concerts. The venue features a typical stadium configuration with a central baseball field; for concerts, a stage is often erected at the center or one end, creating a semi-surround or full-surround seating arrangement. The infield seating tiers offer clearer sightlines, while the outfield areas often provide standing room or temporary seating for a more immersive experience.
