Gekidan Shinkansen 46th Anniversary Winter Production: Seven Souls in the Skull Castle: LAST STAND

Gekidan Shinkansen presents its 46th anniversary winter production, written by Kazuki Nakashima and directed by Hidenori Inoue. This Inoue Kabuki production tours Tokyo, Nagano, Kanazawa and Osaka. Set in the Kanto region eight years after the Honno-ji Incident, the story follows Tenmao, who rules from Skull Castle, and Sutenosuke and Ranbei, who know his past. The production combines stage sword fighting with a drama of intertwined lives. Taichi Saotome plays Sutenosuke, Akihisa Shiono and Maito Fujioka alternate as Ranbei, Yuki Saotome plays Tenmao, and Rei Yuzuka plays Gokuraku Dayu. The actor playing Ranbei varies by performance.
