Yoshida Brothers

Yoshida Brothers are a Japanese tsugaru-shamisen duo formed by Ryōichirō Yoshida and Kenichi Yoshida. Born in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, both began learning shamisen at five and became pupils of first-generation Takashi Sasaki in 1990. After distinguishing themselves in national tsugaru-shamisen competitions, they made their major debut with the album Ibuki in 1999 and their US debut in 2003, followed by performances and collaborations around the world.
