About Michiaki Ueno
Michiaki Ueno is a Japanese cellist born in Paraguay who began the instrument at five and spent part of his childhood in Spain. In 2021 he became the first Japanese winner of the cello section at the Geneva International Music Competition, and later earned an Artist Diploma at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel.
