About Ayako Uehara
Ayako Uehara is a Japanese pianist who won the piano division of the 12th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 2002, becoming its first female and first Japanese winner. She began her musical education at Yamaha as a child and entered its master class in 1990, later developing an international recital and concerto career.
