Tyondai Braxton

Tyondai Braxton is an American composer, producer and performer who has created music under his own name and in collaborative projects since the mid-1990s. He co-founded the experimental rock band Battles and served as its early frontman; after leaving in 2010, he concentrated on electronic, orchestral and chamber commissions and cross-media work. He has written for ensembles including Bang on a Can All-Stars, Alarm Will Sound and Brooklyn Rider, and teaches composition in Princeton University’s music department.
