About Tortoise
Tortoise is an instrumental group formed in Chicago in 1990. Its current members are Dan Bitney, John Herndon, Douglas McCombs, John McEntire and Jeff Parker. From its self-titled debut through Millions Now Living Will Never Die, TNT and Standards, the band became a major influence on the development of post-rock.
