About Tianyao Lyu

Tianyao Lyu is a Chinese classical pianist born in 2008. She studied with Hua Chang at the Middle School affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music before continuing with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at the Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. In 2025 she won Fourth Prize and the prize for Best Concerto Performance at the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition, and in 2026 signed an exclusive multi-album agreement with Decca Classics.
