About The Strokes
The Strokes are a five-member American rock band formed in New York City in 1998 by Julian Casablancas, Nick Valensi, Albert Hammond Jr., Nikolai Fraiture and Fabrizio Moretti. Beginning with their debut album Is This It, they became a defining group in the early twenty-first-century garage-rock and post-punk revival.
