About Yudai Takenaka
Yudai Takenaka is a Japanese singer-songwriter and the lead vocalist and central member of the Osaka five-piece rock band Novelbright. The band was formed in 2013, reached its current lineup in 2019 and drew national attention through street performances around Japan and the way those performances spread online. Novelbright made its major-label debut in 2020 with the digital single “Sunny drop.” Takenaka leads the band’s recordings, tours and large-venue performances as vocalist, while also appearing in solo acoustic and special-project settings that present his voice in a more reduced arrangement.
