About Taizo Takemoto
Taizo Takemoto is a Japanese conductor from Kobe. In 1977 he conducted the Berliner Philharmoniker and won second prize at the Karajan Competition Japan, after which Herbert von Karajan invited him to continue his training in Berlin. On returning to Japan he built a career with major orchestras across classical concerts, opera, ballet and musical theatre.
