About Tomoki Sakata
Tomoki Sakata is a Japanese pianist born in Nagoya in 1993 who began studying piano at the age of five. He won third prize at the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, then first prize and six additional awards at the 2016 Franz Liszt Competition in Budapest. In 2021 he received fourth prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition and continues to perform recitals and concertos in Japan, Europe, the United States and Africa.
