About rega
rega is a Japanese instrumental band from Ehime that is now based in Tokyo. Originally a four-piece, the group has performed as the trio of guitarist Ryuji Ide, bassist Akinobu Aoki and drummer Takafumi Miyake since guitarist Akira Yotsumoto’s departure in 2023. After going on hiatus in 2017, rega returned to live activity in 2023 and released Backside of the Moon in 2025, its first full album in eight years.
