About Kim Yon-ja
Kim Yon-ja is a South Korean singer who debuted after winning a televised new-singer competition in 1974. Her career bridges Korean trot and Japanese enka. She performed the Seoul Olympic song Asa no Kuni Kara in 1988, resumed her Japanese career that year and returned to sustained activity in South Korea from 2009.
