About Hisako Kawamura
Hisako Kawamura is a classical pianist born in Nishinomiya, Japan, and long based in Germany. She moved there with her family as a child and earned prizes at several European competitions while studying at the Hannover University of Music and Drama. She placed second at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2006 and won the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition the following year. Her career since then has encompassed recitals and orchestral appearances across Europe and Japan.
