About Janne Mertanen

Janne Mertanen is a Finnish classical pianist. His official biography records studies at the Sibelius Academy and the Accademia Pianistica in Imola, competition wins in Darmstadt and Nyborg in 1992, a 1994 Wigmore Hall debut, and concert appearances in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Australia. He is the artistic director of the Joensuu Music Festival and a Steinway Artist.
