About Jaap van Zweden
Jaap van Zweden is a Dutch conductor and violinist born in Amsterdam. While still a Juilliard student, he became the youngest-ever concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra at nineteen and began his conducting career in 1996. He has served as Music Director of the Dallas Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic and New York Philharmonic, became Music Director of the Seoul Philharmonic in 2024 and added the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France in 2026.
