Halsey, born Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, is an American singer-songwriter and actor from New Jersey. After releasing the debut EP Room 93 in 2014, Halsey reached a wider audience with the 2015 debut album Badlands and developed a distinctive voice through candid, autobiographical songwriting.
