About Genki Hitomi

Genki Hitomi is a Japanese rock vocalist best known as the lead singer of the hard-rock band VOW WOW. The group launched under that name with Beat of Metal Motion in 1984, later worked from the United Kingdom and released a run of albums before disbanding in 1990. VOW WOW reunited in 2009–10 and again for anniversary performances beginning in 2024. Alongside the band, Hitomi now presents the solo Sings Standards series devoted to jazz and popular standards.
