About Christian Thielemann
Christian Thielemann is a German conductor born in Berlin. After major posts at Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Munich Philharmonic, he served as Principal Conductor of the Staatskapelle Dresden from 2012 to 2024. He became General Music Director of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in the 2024–25 season and is Conductor Laureate of the Staatskapelle Dresden.
