About Christian McBride
Christian McBride is an American jazz bassist, composer, arranger, producer and bandleader who grew up in a musical family in Philadelphia. After moving to New York in 1989, he quickly began touring with musicians including Bobby Watson, Freddie Hubbard and Benny Golson, then built a career across his own recordings, major collaborations and jazz education. He is an eleven-time Grammy winner, a broadcaster and the artistic director of several jazz institutions.
