About Tetsuro Ban
Tetsuro Ban is a Japanese conductor born in Kyoto in 1968. He studied composition at Kyoto City University of Arts and conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and won the 44th Besançon International Competition for Young Conductors in 1995. He is principal conductor of the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, artistic director of Biwako Hall and a professor at Kyoto City University of Arts.
