About Amorphis

Amorphis formed in Helsinki, Finland, in 1990. Starting in death metal, the band developed a broader heavy sound incorporating melody, progressive rock and folk influences. Tales from the Thousand Lakes (1994) and Elegy (1996) mark important stages in that early evolution.
